6’7” elite sized guard was the best scorer of Serbia u17 NT. Already gained senior experience, playing for Mladost Zemun’s first team. Has great shooting range and ability to shoot it from differrent spots and situations. Not the most creative ball handler but can score off the dribble shots. Likes to take control of the game. Moves fluidly, uses screens very well. Takes tough shots sometimes, it will improve as he gets older. Defense could be better. Has good body at this point, but has to improve it for higher level. Pazin has potential to be elite shooter on high level. Was a participant on BWB Europe camp in 2018.
- natural scorer
- versatile shooter
- well sized for a guard
- off ball movement, coming out of screens
- has to upgrade his penetration and driving
- has problems when guarding stronger players
- occasionally forces tough shots
Serbian players on ANGT Munich:
The player with the most experience from ANGT qualifiers on his team. This was his third ANGT and first one with Partizan team, after playing in 15/16 and 16/17 for Stella Azzurra. This year he had 20ppg, which made him 2nd best scorer of the tournament, 5.3rpg and 1.8apg. Pazin is the best, and probably the most versatile shooter of his generation. Can score off the catch, off the dribble, from off ball movements, cuts and screens. Has good footwork and nice shot mechanics. Started tournament better than expected, scoring 29pts vs Maccabi and almost led his team to a big win. Good sized guard played with a lot of confidence and did score some tough shots from long range and over defenders. Still, shot selection is far from good, takes irrational shots often. Was playing with ball in his hands more than he usually does and didn’t show that he can create shots for himself good enough. Has to work a lot on 1vs1 defense, gets exposed too easy. Although he had few solid moments in defense, coming from weak side for the help. Body is not getting better recently, which can be a concern, still tight body without real strength in upper part.
U19 ABA League stage 1 review:
ĐORĐE PAŽIN– Another ’01 born player on this tournament. Just like Ilic, played this tournament as it was expected from the best player of Partizan team. 6’7 shooting guard was the best scorer of the tournament. Scored 137 points in 5 games, 27.4 per game, 2.4rpg, 2.2apg. Had also 3spg, which is something that wasn’t so common for him in the past. Pazin is the most versatile shooter of his gen. Can hit shots from all around the perimeter, has ability to create shots for himself off the dribble, but he is equally efficient when comes off the screens or when he is spotted. Quick release and good footwork help him in all those situations. Was scoring tough shots throughout tournament, stepbacks, shots over defenders, too. Regardless big numbers he had, shot selection is a weakness, still. Was taking irrational shots in the games, but knowing he was the one who had the biggest offensive freedom in this Partizan team, it’s not a huge surprise. Improved his driving abilities, but still could be way more aggressive when goes to the hoop. Partizan’s guard did above average job on defensive end, had couple of steals that led him to an easy points in fast breaks. Body is not that big problem on this level, but it is for higher level. No improvements in terms of body strength happened in last year, should be working on it much more.
Basketball without Borders 2018 recap:
Versatile shooter, born in 2001, had just average measurements, which was also expected, knowing that he is not very athletic player. 36inch vertical and 3.16sec 3/4 sprints are his best results.
Talking about his on the court performances, 6’4.5” guard proved himself once again as a great shooter, both inside and outside of the arc. Had some solid drives to the hoop, but it is not his primary option, still. Moves great without the ball. Pažin is not the best team player, not showing any sights of passing skills.
Serbia on the U17 World championship 2018:
Third best scorer of last year u16 European championship with 17.9ppg. Didn’t play for almost whole year due to registration problems, finished season with couple of senior games for Mladost Zemun in Serbian superleague. 6’7 tall guard, Pažin is a versatile scorer who has great mid and long range game. Uses screens and moves without the ball very well. Likes to talk too much, which affects on his game in negative way. Đorđe scored the most points in 4 friendly games, but could have had better shot percentages.
